Sacramento Martial Arts and Karate

No... not yet. But...

Definitely getting stronger. I say that for two reasons: My push-ups are getting easier, and, more importantly, 150 push-ups a day doesn't feel as scary. Still scary, just not as scary.

I had some rough days this week. Fighting off a cold by leaving work early for a nap so I'd have the energy for karate class :) I noticed though, that even if I felt a bit blah on my way to calss, I felt completely reenergized by the end of class. And that's even after we'd spend 20-30 minutes throwing each other around. I'm gonna have to study up on that phenomenon.

My workouts are going well. Going at lunch keeps me on a consistent schedule. My coworkers are turning into great motivators. I'm starting to think that the hours I spend putting flooring down in this house should count as push-ups or sit-ups. I need to read more, but I think that's going to be significantly easier now that I don't have school work to contend with. Still alternating breathing exercises with meditation time and that's working well. Noticing, too, that's it's easier to try meditation after a good workout.

On to week 4!

Leaving work with a cold and coming to class... I love it!

Excellent perseverance! I've had the same experience with the push-ups. It's cool how we are building that familiarity within our bodies.
