Getty Owl Run/Walk Event

Okay dojo family, here is an opportunity to get out and run for a cause! Are you guys getting familiar with the name "Getty Owl Foundation?" That's kind of what I'm going for!

Some of you are aware that I do a lot of work with Getty Owl Foundation. And this is an opportunity for the dojo to get involved. They are putting on their third annual run/wall event. There is a 5k, a 10k and a 1/4 mile kids fun run. Personally I think the 1/4 mile kids run is the best because there are several mascots out with them. It's looking like the Ghost Busters will be there this year. Seriously... how cool is that!?!?!

What some of you may not know is that Zen Martial has been a sponsor for the Getty Owl Run/Walk for two years now. This year we're a Gold Owl level sponsor! And I think we can do even more. And I know that it's worth your time to get out there and support this cause. Plus... running is good and stuff :)

I say we get a group out there to represent Zen Martial Arts. Parents and students. Come out to this run, wear your Zen Martial t-shirts. Let's show the community that we are here and that we are involved. If you're not a runner, just walk it. It's a nice course, it's a good cause, and there is no pressure to be a speed racer. Enjoy it.

The fees are great. $35 for the 5k or 10k and $15 for the kids run. I have 3 free entries for the first folks that let me know they're in!
