Sacramento Martial Arts and Karate

Kaylee is on her path to putting in place her project for community service. Her vision is to create "Get Well" cards where she can distribute them out to hospitals and doctors’ offices. Her cards would be available to be handed out to anyone who needs; some kind words, words of hope, a picture, a child’s thought, a Prayer. That card that lets them know someone is thinking of them.

This gesture is anonymous. It is given at a time when an act of kindness is in need.

Kaylee needs your help. Her vision is to have volunteers create "Get Well" card(s). Kaylee will collect them and distribute them out to the designated locations. Our process is not in place yet, however Kaylee has a request that will not only help out someone very close to her but will also help us figure out how exactly this will work.

Last week Kaylee's nephew Matthew was in a bad ski accident. He has completely torn his ACL in the left leg as well as the medial MCL and broke his right leg as well as a 60% tears of the ACL. He went into surgery yesterday for his left leg where they reconstructed the ACL and reattached the medial MCL. He is home and recovering.

Kaylee is asking for "Get Well" cards for Matthew. This is a special request due to it being for a specific person in mind. Please, if you would like to help send some encouraging words of healing for Matthew we would welcome them with open arms.

I will be sending up a care package next week. Please bring in your cards to Mr. Oliver during any class you attend and we will collect them Thursday.

Thank you for helping in Kaylee's vision of a kinder world.

Paige, I know that with Luke's project of getting cards out to service men, it really helped to provide small blank cards that the kids can decorate.
