Sacramento Martial Arts and Karate
Javier is making decent progress on his project thus far.
Week 1 - March 28th through April 3rd
Day 1: We setup a donation box at karate school and put in a few starter items (macaroni and cheese, chicken broth, oatmeal). Javier was very excited that his box was not empty.
Day 2: We went to karate class and sadly discovered the box was empty. Apparently, some unknown person removed the donation items from the box. We spoke with Mr. Oliver and he did not know what happened. He assured us that going forward he would move the donation boxes inside the classroom overnight and when class is not in session. Javier was discouraged and confused as to why his stuff was gone.
Day 3: We setup a donation box at our house in order to put in our own donations, as well as those we receive from friends and family. We added oatmeal, pasta sauce and cereal to the home box.
Day 6: While at karate class we received our very first donation!!! It was a box of pasta and a jar of spaghetti. Hooray, Javier was happy. A big thank you to Kiefer and his parents. Kiefer is Javier’s very good friend and he is in the Little Dragon Karate class. We appreciate their donation. We decided to take it home and put it in the home donation box. So we left the box at school empty.
End of week one total donations = 5
