TED Video: Sheila Patek clocks fastest animals
Biologist Sheila Patek talks about her work measuring the feeding strike of the mantis shrimp, one of the fastest movements in the animal world, using video cameras recording at 20,000 frames per second.
This video doesn't directly relate to Isshinryu, but I've always been interested in biomechanics and helps us understand how speed is generated by animals. I hope you enjoy it.

So.... since these shrimp actually have the fastest documented offensive strike, I should say thank you if I get called a shrimp! It was cool to learn stuff about fluid dynamics I never knew before... Thanks for sharing.
