Sacramento Martial Arts and Karate

For my required reading the first book I chose to read is The Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi. It was written in 1643 about the science of martial arts. Miyamoto Musashi broke down the book into five scrolls: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Emptiness. Each scroll represents different pieces of martial arts.

When I read the Earth Scrolls last night I came to notice that many things Sensei has taught me were in this book. I thought this was interesting and wanted to share it with dojo:
“The way to win in a battle according to military science is to know the rhythms of the specific opponents, and use rhythms that your opponents do not expect, producing formless rhythms from rhythms of wisdom.”

Wow.  What revelation.  "...formless rhythms from rhythms of wisdom."  Well said, Emil.
