Sacramento Martial Arts and Karate

Good Morning Martial Arts Family!

I'm writing with a different purpose this morning. Some of you have heard me mention that I'm doing a bike ride this April. Well, here's the scoop on what the bike ride really is:

I'm participating in the MS150. It's a 150  mile bike ride to raise money for MS (multiple sclerosis) Research.

"Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a progressive neurological disease that affects people several ways. It could be paralysis one day, loss of vision the next or impaired memory the day after that."

I don't personally know anyone with MS, but I don't need to. I know that this is one of those causes that makes a difference for a whole lot of people. And that's what I want to be a part of. The ride that I'm participating in is the Houston to Austin ride in Texas. I lived in Texas from 1994 - 2000, it is my extended community.

Part of my commitment to this cause is the 150 miles of bike riding over the course of two days. The most important part of my commitment is riaisng money for research that hepls the National MS Society.

I'm spreading my fundraising efforts as widely as I can to meet my personal goal of raising $400 for the National MS Society. Martial Arts teaches compassion. This is me, as a person and an aspiring martial artist, practicing compassion and giving back.

If you'd like to help me reach my goal, please go to my personal fund raising page to make a doanation:

My Ride for MS

Anyting helps. And if you aren't able to make a financial donation, promise you'll join me for a bike ride! I have lots of training to do!

Thank you!
