Sacramento Martial Arts and Karate
You are invited to make holiday cards for children at the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento, during and immediately after karate classes at the dojo on Tuesday, Dec. 9, and Saturday, Dec. 13!
Nessa Weiner and Kiefer Wilbur, both Little Dragon brown belt students, have chosen to collect toys for the kids at the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento as their black belt service project. You may have seen their "Old Toys - New Toys" collection box in the hallway outside of the dojo. In addition to donating toys, they are inviting their fellow karate students to make holiday cards for the kids. If you come to the Coloma Community Center during and immediately after karate classes this Tuesday and Saturday, Kiefer and Nessa will have supplies ready for an easy and fun way to help children in need to enjoy the holiday season! We will likely be in the room across the hall from the dojo.
The Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento helps and provides temporary housing for children, youth, and families affected by abuse, neglect, behavioral health issues, and trauma. The cards and toys will be given to the Home to give to their residents.
And don't forget that Nessa & Kiefer are still collecting toys too! Clean out your toyboxes and shelves to make room for your own gifts, and bring any new or gently used toys (except stuffed animals) for any age to put in the donation box.
Thank you, and happy holidays!
