Halloween Food Drive

Challenging the karate students to collect donations for the food closet while they made the neighborhood rounds for Halloween trick-or-treating was such a wonderful idea!  I loved watching Jack and Ella's focus turn to helping others while candy collecting seemed to become of secondary importance.  Sometimes the kids couldn't seem to wait for the eager candy givers to stop passing out the goodies so they could start talking about the food drive!  I loved hearing that the collection bin is already overflowing!

It's so easy to see the compassion in our younger students. Hopefully the houses will pass along a little of the compassion Jack and Ella shared so enthusiastically. What a great example!
