Ride To Walk

I've been volunteering as a sidewalker at Ride To Walk since October 2010. Our team of volunteers make sure the rider is safe as we do physical therapy, play therapy, and so much more. We all work hard. It can be as draining as it is fun. And it is fun! That's where y'all come in.

I keep talking about karate on Saturdays and the great things our dojo is doing. So come on out. Spend some time hanging out, horsin' around, and getting to know the families. Just bring your wonderful selves, ready to have some fun.

There is a small playground with swings, hungry ducks on the pond, a great grassy area for frisbee or soccer or picnic. Frosty and Minnie Mae, the two mini horses, will be there for the day also. They're very friendly.

The easiest route to Ride To Walk from Sacramento:
Take 80 towards Reno.
Exit Sierra College Blvd.
Turn left over the freeway.
Follow Sierra College Blvd until it ends.
Turn left.
Ride To Walk is on the left.
Drive slowly when you enter.
Park near the pond, straight ahead.
