Black-Belt Testing and Promotions

This is it--our first black-belt testing at the dojo! Everyone is welcome to share in this special day and support our two candidates. You will see them demonstrate kata as well as spar.

Wear your gi and bring your sparring gear--they will need your enthusiastic support. This is a rare opportunity to see how a black-belt test is conducted and will also be a chance to meet some other high-ranking Isshinryu black-belts.

We will also be doing our regular colored-belt testing and promotions during this time as well, just before the black-belt testing. The full schedule is listed below.

It's traditional for ALL students to come to a dojo belt testing ceremony in their karate gi. Let's all learn together and show our support for our karate family.

5:00pm - Dojo opens for candidates to practice and prepare.

6:00pm - Tiny Tiger, Little Dragon, Junior, and Adult colored belt testing and awards.

7:00pm - Black Belt Board and Testing.
