Ally's 5K Run

Attention all runners!

Join us at Ride to Walk in celebrating our 25th anniversary with the 1st annual Ally 5K Run. Ally's 5K Run is a 3.1 mile charity run, or walk, to benefit the Ally Memorial Scholarship Fund. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Ally Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship was opened in memory of Allison Ellis, a 4-year-old rider at RTW who passed away in December of 2009. Ally's family opened the fund after her passing to give financially challenged children the opportunity to ride at RTW.

Participants will receive a goody bag, T-shirt, finisher's medal, and plenty of post-race food. Awards will be given out 3 deep for each age division, 10-year divisions (9-under, 10-19, 20-29, etc). Due to limited venue space, the race is limited to 300 participants.

The Ranch will also host events that day for runners and their families. Their bake sale is always a hit with the amazing home made goodies.


Fees and Registration

$30 before June 12, 2010
$40 after June 12, including race day

A little info on Ride To Walk...

Ride To Walk (RTW) is a nonprofit organization that provides equine-assisted therapy to children in our community with neurological disabilities. RTW is about overcoming limitations, strengthening bodies and spirits, and empowering children who live with disabilities.

Directions to Ride To Walk

From the Sacramento area: Head East on Hwy 80 towards Auburn and Reno Take the Sierra College Blvd exit and turn left and head north over Hwy 80. Stay on Sierra College Blvd to Hwy 193, the Lincoln-Newcastle Hwy. Turn left and head towards Lincoln. RTW is located about a mile south of the Sierra College Blvd on Hwy 193. Look for the signs on the left.
