Gichin Funakoshi was born in the district of Yamakawa. He was in the royal Okinawan capital of Shuri. He lived in 1868 and died in 1957. He lived a life of moderation and physical discipline to maintain and develop his career. He was a strong and well-developed ninety-year-old man.
As a teacher, Funakoshi had to go through many troubling obstacles in his life. To become a teacher, he had to cut off his topknot. After becoming his parents were upset and abandoned. There were four categories of primary school. There are elementary, higher grades, special course, and assistant. Even though he was a teacher, he still found a way to practice karate in his spare time. He learned when practicing karate you have to learn from different masters. This is to learn and improve on techniques.
Master Funakoshi taught many of his students something to remember in the dojo, “When you are in the dojo, focus. You also have to practice with compassion and have a goal in mind. Give out all your energy and make your best effort.” I have also learned a lot of lessons from this book. One of them is the outcome of a battle depends on how you handle weakness and strength. In conclusion, I believe that karate is how you balance your life and how you use power.
